The EcoEngineers project is an initiative through which we aim to use technology to promote the importance of environmental protection. Our target audience is mainly the youth of Bucharest, as this field is neglected in the Romanian school curriculum. We want ecology to become one of the basic values of students in the capital, so that we can influence future generations to follow our example.
We wish to organize various events in which we will address topics such as the importance of recycling and the waste sorting process. We will focus on volunteering, offering students the opportunity to actively get involved in the waste collection activities which we are supporting through this project.
Specifically, we aim to gather as many middle and high school students as possible in an area that needs our support, to join in a common effort and contribute to transforming the place into a welcoming and healthy space for all. In short, we want to clean up the city, focusing on parks and nature reserves.
In the long run, the project aims to become a model of good practices, where robotics and volunteering intertwine for a common goal: protecting the environment. Through information, involvement and action, we want to train young people who understand that change starts with each of us.
We want to inspire future generations and show them that creativity and innovation are accessible to anyone, thus contributing to the development of a community that is more prepared for the future.
Therefore, through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness of environmental protection, both among our community members and within the FTC community. We are trying to convey our message to as many people as possible, so that the results have a lasting positive impact and inspire responsible behavior towards nature.
